Concept

Sergeant James is a science-fiction short film created for virtual reality. Co-produced by Digital Immersion and Floréal Films, it’s a 360° video short film where you are in a child’s bedroom below the bed and it’s time to go to sleep, but what could happen when the light goes out ?

Action

Digital Immersion proposed a cinema setup for this high-quality VR fiction. First a live streaming 360° video feedback, allowing the director to adjust various parameters in real-time inside a virtual reality headset like Oculus. And by using DSLR professional cameras like SONY A7S II, the creative team was free to let their imagination run and set the light level very low to create the moods they wanted.

Broadcasting

Directed by Alexandre Perez, this first 360° video fiction already had it’s world tour over several film festivals like the Tribeca film festival in New-York where it was part of the official selection.
