Reflexion :

The NASA 360 / VR video offers three different perspectives of astronauts as they perform the spatial training required for upcoming missions at the International Space Station (ISS).

 

Action :

The video for this VR demo  has been shot at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) of NASA in Houston. The NBL training facility is equipped with a massive interior pool, sized accordingly to the ISS. It is used by the astronauts to accomplish simulated tasks from the upcoming missions.

This new NASA VR / 360 video and the UHD TV channel from NASA have been created with the UHD video distribution solution from Harmonic, leader on the market. Powered by the Harmonic PURE Compression Engine ™, it guarantees a superior video quality, up to 2160p60, with minimal bitrates.

 

Diffusion :

The video is available on the clients Facebook and YouTube accounts, respectively counting 17 millions likes and 947 thousands subscribers. It also has been presented at Amsterdam, during the IBC trade show, in partnership with Harmonic.
